Huangling jade pear is a special product of Huangling County, Yan’an City, Shaanxi province.

In 2017, “Huangling Jade Pear” won the National Geographic Indication certification mark, and was awarded the Top 100 annual most popular fruit regional public brand by Asian Fruit and Vegetable Industry Expo for two consecutive years. The brand value amounts to RMB 89 million Yuan.
Huangling County is located in the world’s best apple growing area - Yan’an, and in the past, every household grew apples. In 1999, Huangling County introduced Yuluxiang pear, a new excellent variety cultivated by the Fruit Tree Research Institute of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, to the local place. After years of cultivation, Yuluxiang pear produced in Huangling has the “skin like jade and pulp like mutton fat”, is crisp, sweet and juicy, and has no residue.
Huangling is located in Weibei Loess Plateau area, with an altitude of 110m-1200m and a thickness of 120m-150m loessal soil layer. The average annual temperature is 9.4℃, average annual precipitation 630.9mm, average annual sunshine duration 2,528.4 hours, and annual frost-free period 172 days. The temperature difference between day and night in fructescence is greater than 10℃. There are seven main natural condition indicators fully consistent with the standards of the best eugenics area proposed by the world's technical authorities, and so Huangling is known as the best eugenics area.
