In the midsummer of Yan’an, after the rain and before the sun comes out, the sky is clear as if washed clean. The towering pagoda, under the illumination of the setting sun, appears even more solemn and stable. A brilliant rainbow stretches across the sky, its perfect arc echoing the sharp tip of the pagoda, as if crowning the ancient tower. This fleeting magnificent scene is a perfect encounter of strength and softness, of the ancient and the modern, making people stop breathing and lose themselves in the breathtaking masterpiece of nature.
