It has excellent quality, beautiful fruit shape, large and uniform size, clean fruit surface, bright color, crisp and dense flesh, high sugar content (2% -3% higher than that of foreign apples), sweet and delicious, moderate hardness, storage resistance (it can be stored in the cave until April to May of the next year) and other advantages, so it ranks first among the same kind of apples in China, and is well-known both at home and abroad. The county is listed as one of the important production bases for apple export in China, with annual sales of hundreds of millions of kilograms.
Luochuan apples are the best underheaven. Luochuan apples are concentrated in the Weibei Loess Plateau, with Luochuan as the center, spreading to Yan'an, Tongchuan, Chunhua, Liquan and Baishui counties and cities. Orchards distribute for thousands of miles.

Luochuan County, to the south of Yan'an City, is located in the gully area of the Loess Plateau in the north of Weihe River, and is an agricultural county with apple as its leading industry. Luochuan County is richly endowed by nature resources for the development of apple industry, and is universally recognized as the best eugenic area for apples. It has been designated as the national demonstration county for the industrialization of superior agricultural products (apples), the demonstration county for the standardized production of high-quality pollution-free apples, the demonstration county for food safety (apples) and the only "one county, one industry" demonstration county in Shaanxi Province. Luochuan Apple has been exclusive supplied to the Great Hall of the People, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team and the Olympic Games. In October 2010, the geographical certification trademark of "Luochuan Apple" in Luochuan County was recognized as China Famous Trademark by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and was published on the website of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China on October 8. "Luochuan Apple" was selected as one of the top 100 regional public goods brands of agricultural products in China with a brand evaluation value of RMB 2.523 billion Yuan.
