A new snow season is around the corner, and Yan’an International Ski Area, Huanglong Mountain Ice&Snow Sports Base and other skiing venues have opened to welcome tourists, presenting various wonderful snow entertainment programs. More and more people are coming to the Loess Plateau for a special ice and snow journey.
In recent years, Yan’an City has dug deep into the characteristic snow and ice cultural tourism resources, constantly improved the infrastructure construction of the industry, continued to enrich the supply of cultural tourism products, and turned “cold resources” into “hot economy”.
Snow&ice economy is becoming a new economic growth point in Yan’an. From 2022 to the end of 2023, Yan’an City has created more than 20 ice and snow themed projects, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion Yuan, held more than 200 ice&snow activities of various kinds, received about 20 million tourists, and achieved comprehensive tourism income of more than RMB 50 billion Yuan.
